Hi Rob. First the bad news! You can only, at best, be the world’s 2nd worst graphic designer!

With this type of ‘product name/description logo, would you ever bother to use the copyright symbol?

I personally wouldn’t bother with a copyright symbol. I use a “(c) Rob Cornish / GainHigherGround.com” notice on my products and web pages but beyond that I ignore any rips off. Branding is good but the really power is in making compelling offers so I tend to focus on that mainly. Just my opinion!

I used to be a Departmental Manager. Whenever new systems ot tasks were introduced to the workplace I would look for the easy way to make them work for my lads on a daily basis. We would talk and analys to work out the EASY way.
Unfortunatly I am now just a “worker” (although it is now part time) and have no management input. Our bosses just make every task as complicated as possible which creates uneccessary work and stress. The EASY way is always the best way.
As per Rob…. a great short video showing exactly how to do it. Not someone just telling you how to di it.
Very interesting Steve and reminds me very much of my years of employment. I think most places are the same really.

Most people don’t take the time to explore Word
It really is very powerful.
I also use Canva quite a bit which is another simple and powerful free tool

I’ve heard of Canva but never tried it so thanks for the tip. I think Word alternatives like OpenOffice or Google Docs will be similar, doesn’t matter really what tool you use as long as the job gets done right.

There’s a tricky balance been “high quality” and “perfect” Kobus. It comes with experience probably, like most things. One thing is to always analyse what you’ve just done and ask yourself, “If I had to do that again what would I do?”

I’d suggest a better and almost as simple way to make fairly good logos is to use something like LogoZign.
I’m a beta tester for it. Not sure if it’s been put to sale to the general public or not. But I can tell you it’s brain dead simple to make logos. And they’re a lot nicer than what you can possibly output using MS word.
In about 10 to 15 minutes you’ve got yourself a decent logo. Not a super duper fancy logo but a nice logo nonetheless.
So maybe look for Logozign from the team that made Youzign if you want a simple and fast way to create as many logos as you want.
And I do not work for Youzign. Just a beta tester and a Youzign user as well.

Yes it can John. The more you think about it the more difficult it gets! As long as it looks professional it won’t make much difference to your sales either way. The real power is in creating a compelling offer.

Some formatting on word is easy and this is one of those easy wins.
However if you aren’t confident with Word, or you don’t have many font options then going to Fiverr is probably a good time/cost investment because your time whilst researching and editing a format is probably more than $5.
